Planning your WebSite

Step 1 - Customer Brief

Your design brief should include details such as:

(A)
Objective of having your own Internet Web Site

(B)
What is your target market for your business product / services

(C)
Who / where are the Customers / Clients you are targeting

(D)
Do you want your web site to use / display your business logo, does it        need to be redisigned / updated

(E)
Make a list of other web site design's that you like by way - Images /       colour's and navagation

(F) Decide how complicated your web site should be - Look at other similar        business web sites for your ideas - A good web site design need not be        complicated and hard to navigate

Develop the copy / content for each page. (preferably in Microsoft Word        or similar word processing document).

(H)
What business contact details do you want to include on the site - do you        want Phone / Fax / Email and address details displayed

(I)
Collect all images to be used on the site, including company logo and       other publication you have produced by way of advertising

(K)
What key words that are industry specific to your business for search        engine listings - These keywords are critial to have a good ranking so        search engines are able to list and display your business

(L)
Do you want to link to other sites - this feature is advantageous for certain       search engines to locate your web site
